Argumento:
La serie de televisión se basa en gran medida en The Legend of Zelda, pero se hacen algunas referencias a Zelda II: The Adventure of Link; por ejemplo, Ganon se ve a menudo montando un Lowder, una especie de insecto/escarabajo visto en Zelda II, pero no en The Legend of Zelda. La serie utiliza efectos de sonido e interpretaciones de los temas musicales de fondo para ambos videojuegos al igual que algunos monstruos incluyendo a Moblins, Octoroks, Goriyas, Gohma, Aquamentus, Keese y Ropes. Las Rupias también aparecen, pero son llamadas Rubíes. En lugar de flechas, en la serie animada los arcos disparan proyectiles de rayos luminosos, al igual que la espada de Link (esto ocurre en unos pocos videojuegos de la saga, cuando todos los corazones de Link están completos). Estos rayos de Link pueden destruir a la mayoría de los monstruos, pero no pueden dañar a las personas, como se muestra en el episodio "Sing for the Unicorn" (Cantar para el Unicornio).
